The farm is owned by Janot Dufour, Louis Racine and their sons Kevin and Anthony. Kevin, who studied agricultural technology, and Anthony, an agronomist, will take over from their parents in the future. They have been active on the farm since they were very young.
Innovation is one of their core values, and they were one of the first farms in the region to use loose housing for their cows. Prélude farm is a dairy farm that transitioned to organic farming in 2021. The herd has been free-range for several years now, so it made sense to make the switch to organic farming.
